Human Age is a very refreshing type of puzzle game that throws out traditional rules for a more interesting concept. To play this game you will have to match tiles to make evolved human. Then you will have to match more tiles to make other evolved humans to fuse with that one. Then you will have to repeat the process over and over to you reach the current day, confusing? It’s ok we got you with the review down below!

The gameplay is pretty interesting basically you are trying to evolve the human race. How do you do this though you ask? You simply have to wait for the right titles to pop up then connect three of them by making them touch to make a human. Once you make a human you will need to make three more of the same type of human in order to advance in the game sounds simple right? Well, this game is one of those that actually get complicated pretty fast.

The game needs you to advance humanity through the different periods of time. This means that you will need to continuously match up the humans to evolve them. The only problem is that starting out you have about 9 tiles to move humans and work off of. The board works like a title puzzle so you have to strategically move things around the connect them. The only problem is there are two types of block that can spawn in clear ones that you can move over and solid ones that are there to stay unless you match them up.

In the first roundabout, the highest evolution you can reach is Viking before you run out of space. At this point, you will be explained that you can get more spaces by building monuments. This, of course, is done through winnings you can either build up by paying or playing. You get a free tile at the beginning, but you will have to work to get extras after that. To reach higher levels of the game you will have to increase the amount of free spaces you have in puzzles quite a bit. There is a chance you can use the free move to get rid of a character and strategize out to get a little further than the Viking age, but eventually, you will run out of space.

This game is free for download on the IOS store and is recommended to anyone who likes a good challenge!

Stormbound is a mobile game produced by Kongregate. This is a strategy game that fuses war combat with a playing card game. The concept is fresh and interesting, sure to delight any fans of the strategy game genre. This game can be either play with real humans or against a CPU giving you a variety of options. It is free and can be downloaded by you and your friends for cross phone play!

At first, the game is a little daunting and confusing to understand. The touch controls are very sensitive and you have to figure out what direction exactly helps you place your card. As soon as you do the process of playing the game starts to simplify. In a way, this game is sort of like chess where you have to outmatch your opponent’s wits to win. Be sure to place your cards accordingly to keep your opponent from getting any check makes while getting your soldiers to their side of the field. The nice thing about this is the turns are not timed giving you the chance to think out your moves before you make them. You also have to choose to end your turn, so you have control until you’re comfortable with your choices.

The cars in the game have different strength and defense indicators that will show on the cards before you play them. This plays into the game by showing you and your opponent exactly what they are going up against. When the cards meet in battle they will try and destroy each other the block with the most men will, of course, proceed forward. Each turn all of your men will advance before you play a card that means the game is always moving no matter what you or your opponent do, plan accordingly and you should easily take the lead!.

Overall, this game is a solid play for strategy lovers. There were, however, a lot of instances where the controls were unresponsive making playing the game a frustrating experience. A quick reset of your phone will fix these issues, but be sure to be extra careful when placing cards. The controls can easily mess you up causing you to click the wrong area and possibly lose the round. While I do love the idea of this game’s play style I do hope they sort out the controls in the future to make the experience less frustrating.

Battlejack is a game made by the famous MMORPG producer Nexon. With that in mind, this is a little different than most app games you play. You can see a lot of Nexon’s MMORPG experience coming through with the unique and creative play style featured in Battle Jack. This game combines card gambling and RPG elements to make an addicting app that you can play from anywhere. The whole thing is based around the card game blackjack being used to determine your parties attacking power.

Here’s the deal for this game you are in a land where chaos emerges every 1,000 years. You are the guardian that the three elemental heroes summoned to save the day. The bad news is, however, that soon after they summoned you the chaos appeared in front of them and killed them all. Your first path is picking which element you want to have on your team and choosing to revive that hero. Afterwards, you will set off on a journey to become stronger and defeat the chaos once and for all. You can pick from several different options of course such as side quests. Just be sure to do the main story from time to time to get closer to finishing the game!

To play the game all you have to do is be good at Blackjack. Your attack is completely determined by the cards you draw. The closer to 21 you get the more mana your party will have and the more you can hit the attack for. If you go over 21 though you will lose on of your turns leaving a huge opening in your defense. The best way to play this game is to figure out if you want to risk busting or not based on the added amount of the first two cards you are dealt at the beginning of the turn.

The game also features several other RPG elements. You can buy items such a potions to help restore your party’s health in battle. You can also capture the monsters you fight to add them to your team. If you want to level up you will need monsters as well to fuse into your hero and gain even more power. Be sure to keep an eye on your team’s level and items even with a lucky hand you will still need to power up to get through later missions.

Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle is a battle strategy game that encompasses its own story mode. The game borrows heavily from the anime and manga of the same now incorporating lots of events and settings. It features its own story and original character that you play as to navigate the in-game universe. The game can be addicting at times and a great download for anyone who is a major fan of the series. It is currently listed for free on the Ios app store but does have the option for in game currency.

Dragonball Z

The story starts off by you being run into trunks who due to a mistake has ridden his time machine right into the world. He gets out confused then realizes that it’s May 7th the day the world tournament is suppose to start. He then says that you should go to help him find more answers about the timeline he has arrived into. As it turns out you are in an alternate universe with alternate events from the main Dragon Ball timeline. Here all the characters are a little bit mixed up and may surprise you with some of their actions. The storyline is rather short and can be beaten quickly, but the game has other modes you can play in as well. The game even features content from the brand new Dragon Ball Super timeline.

Dragonball Z

The gameplay itself is rather simple. You get characters and pit them against others. To do this you have to match up sphere to charge your attacks while avoiding any the might cause you proper struggle. The more spheres you match up the more powerful your attack will be. Be sure to strategically think of the path that will bring you the most power in order to quickly defeat foes and progress onward. The game can be slow at loading at times making it a little frustrating to play. The Anime cutscenes also sometimes make the game look as if it has closed out which may frustrate some.

The main draw of this game is to collect your favorite DBZ characters and assemble the dream team you’ve always wanted. You do this by item drops that happen naturally in the story or by purchasing dragons stones to buy them with. Splashy Dots is another game located within the brain teaser genre. This game like many others is all about finding just the right way to solve the puzzle and progress to the next level. This game is styled after an art gallery and features a relaxing soundtrack. As you finish puzzles they will turn into abstract paintings in the virtual gallery. Splashy Dots will even give you the ability to look at your finished paintings even after you progress onward.

The gameplay is simple for this game, you start at one point and must find your way to the end to win. The way you go about this is by starting at the ink splat, from there you must connect the dots and get to the empty circle last. This means that you must paint over every dot before you can feel in the empty circle and win. In a way, it’s pretty much a game of connect the dots without numbers to guide you through the activity. The trick comes in as you figured out you can only move up, down, and from side to side. This means you can’t go in diagonal directions to try and solve the puzzle. On top of that you can only link each dot once and you can’t skip around. If you swipe to a dot and there’s one before it the game will count that as painted.

The difficulty of Splashy Dots was a little surprising. You will start out in a tutorial that explains the base rules to you. Afterwards, you will be able to pick from a list of difficulties that start with easy and go to expert. Take my advice and do not pick easy, when I stayed on easy mode the puzzles were laughably unchallenging and I couldn’t even see most young children having issues with solving them. I went through about 50 easy challenges but, at the end of it all I chose to put myself on expert to really give myself a challenge. Overall, this game won’t make you go into a fit of rage as it’s pretty laid back even on higher difficulties. The game does give you hints as you beat levels and you can easily stock up by playing on lower difficulties, there is also a purchase option for additional hints in the main menu.

Splashy Dots

The game is worth a play and will keep you busy if you just need something to fiddle with while waiting on an appointment. The overall ambiance is nice and there’s no time counters to make you feel rushed as you solve each puzzle. On top of that it does give you a nice sense of accomplishment when you beat a harder level and is free on the app store. Be sure to log in each day to claim your free daily hint!

This neat little game focuses around what seems to be the last few dragons in the world fighting to save the land they inhabit. This is all because the Zomblin forces have ruined the dragons home and now the fight begins to take it back! This game is a matching/ puzzle type game that will give you hours of simple fun. Be prepared to think your way through levels and use your wits to advance to the next puzzle. Be warned though this game does require you to have an Iphone 5S or later with the latest updates installed!

The gameplay for this game is pretty solid you are a dragon who can merge things together using mystic magic to evolve them into better objects. You start by merging plants together to evolve them into flowers or dragons eggs to hatch more dragons. You will of course have to solve puzzles using this mechanic that gets more complicated as you journey from level to level. For instance they may make you evolve the items on the field into a tree or maybe even merge bones to clear the land the options are endless.

As you play the game you will have to hatch dragons and use them to help purify the land. The dragons will harvest life essence to help with this process. As you purify the land you will be able to move more objects to the purified spots. Often times your goal will be to save Gaia statues and pair them together to purify the whole map. Be sure to chain together literally everything you can and remember the more of an item you chain the bigger the merge rewards will be in the end. Watch to see if you can match objects on deadland to instantly heal the spot and speed up the game even more. Take advantage of everything around you and take in the whole picture before making a move and you should do great!

After completing a few levels you will unlock your dragon farm where you can carry your dragons and rewards back to expand the farm. Of course the dragon farm has been taken over by an evil fog and only your dragon army can save it. Do this by playing more of the game and saving take home gems and chests from your matches. The more dragons you have the more you can merge them and increase your dragon power to claim more of your farm back from the invasive fog. Be sure to pay attention to all the spells tomes for useful tips and tricks throughout playing the game.

Castle Cats offers players a unique and adorable option that falls strongly into the mobile RPG genre. The game is extremely lighthearted and focuses on a group of three cats who form the main portion of your Cat’s guild and their efforts to defeat the evil Pugomancer, a cocky pug who is fond of summoning the undead and teasing the main cast of cats. A fun and family friendly story with pop culture references and silly jokes is complemented well by a simple and appropriately deep level of role-playing elements making for a great experience for players of any age.

The core gameplay of Castle Cats focuses on completing quests to earn gold, experience and varying other rewards.To complete quests players will have to assign up to three Cats to the task and either allow them to complete the quest in the time shown or assist them to make the quest complete faster. The player’s tap gauge starts with two hundred taps and recharges slowly over time, but these taps are used to attack the enemies during quests to speed up the completion. Players can accept as many quests as they like provided they have enough Cats, and the larger a player’s roster of cats is the more they’ll have to upgrade their cardboard kitty fort to keep them all active and available.

Quests also require certain skills to increase their great success chance, which provides players with more rewards when achieved leading to the need to upgrade and acquire more cats. There are over 80 obtainable cats in the game currently and more are added for events regularly, and each cat starts with a certain skill and can be upgraded to obtain one more skill as well as a trait that all affect their quest effectiveness and rewards.

The player’s base also adds material collection posts for players to collect various resources for further base and guild upgrades. Gold can be used to purchase additional cats through random boxes, and certain cats can be directly purchased from a cash shop as well as various other game boosters. Base upgrades allow for more gameplay per day with more quests, tapping points, active cat slots and more resources gained for even further upgrades. Additionally, there are regular charity events that donate percentages of all sales to animal related charities making playing the game a great way to have fun and support animals in need.

The depth offered by Castle Cats is refreshing in the world of mobile RPGs, especially when combined with the game’s relative simplicity and player friendliness. The inclusion of charities makes the game feel much more worth playing and spending money on, although it is completely optional of course. The artwork and animations the game use are appropriately adorable and is complemented by a very well done soundtrack as well. Castle Cats is overall a completely pleasant experience that will leave any player with a smile on their face whether it be from solid mobile gameplay, the wonderfully silly dialogue and characters, or the adorable appearance of all the cats the game has to offer.

Angry Birds Evolution

The long running mobile title that drew a large amount of interest to the world of mobile games years ago is back again with a reinvented image of itself. Evolution is a fitting title as while the game still uses drag and release controls everything else about playing and Angry Birds game is new. Evolution introduces a large amount of RPG elements to the game as well as a large collection of birds that the player can collect to form unique teams of birds to fight the evil egg stealing pigs. The game also uses 3D visuals as opposed to 2D as previous titles and these 3D designs are the same ones fans of the series will recognize from the Angry Birds movie.

Moving into a 3D environment is surprisingly not the biggest gameplay change the series sees with Evolution. Each level now consists of a square field full of pigs, powerups and obstacles similarly to the old 2D games. However, sending a bird out no longer renders them useless as they return and can be fired again when their next turn comes around, and every so many turns they are able to use a special ability based on their color. These special abilities are the same powers most long time players are familiar with so the series isn’t completely disconnected from its original concept in some aspects. Players will also now notice a health bar that is chipped away by the pigs on their turns, so eliminating them quickly is essential to completing a level. Birds will also ricochet off of enemies, obstacles and level boundaries a few times before returning to their original post to await their next turn.

Each bird can be leveled up and has base strength based on their rank of power. While all birds will level this rank system ensures some birds are simply more effective than others, and the system of acquiring random birds makes it slightly more challenging to build a perfect team, but also adds a layer of fun trying to gather the strongest birds. Cash purchases can of course make this process easier for players, but is not required as players can unlock characters and free random characters through the regular game. Players will also have to collect Mighty Eagle’s former team members to assist them in saving the Angry Birds’ island, which are all gathered through regular gameplay. Players will have to sacrifice some birds to level up their other birds, which is an effective way to use the weaker ones as they can provide much more power to the already stronger birds.

The game adds several layers of content and revamps the Angry Birds formula in a lot of ways. Turn based levels and boss battles, the collecting and levelling of various birds and a player level that unlocks free items and new game modes as players progress through the story offers a continuous stream of new content for players. The game also provides an opening for a wider audience as Angry Birds games are traditionally paid titles, but Evolution opens the gate to the world of free games with an expansive cash shop for players to take advantage of. The game offers a completely unique experience for long time fans of the series and for newcomers alike. Angry Birds is taking steps to becoming a stable long term series and Evolution reaffirms the series’ place as an ever changing and growing series that players can expect to enjoy for a long time.
